Job Description
We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to support our industry-leading networks team. This role has two primary responsibilities:
- To provide analysis and interpretation of industry benchmark data in the life sciences arena
- To work on client projects as a Consultant
Within the role, you will:
- Partner with a data analyst and thought-lead to create an industry benchmark report on the latest industry trends in Pharmacovigilance and Labeling
- Review draft graphs, validate data, and construct relevant visualizations of the data to highlight key insights and messages
- Interpret data to derive trends, and insights, and create a first draft benchmark report
Working with a Data Analyst, you will:
- Build presentations to summarize messages ensuring a clear storyline, crisp messages, and compelling visuals, presented in a client-ready format
- Customize data to create individual reports for ~40 member companies
- Help bring improvements in the data model process and deliver innovative graphs and visuals as per the analysis context
- Manage day-to-day day client queries on the data, both internally and externally
Working as a Consultant with clients you will:
- Support consulting projects – to include process and workflow mapping, the authoring of SOPs, project support and tracking, high-quality and, in-budget outputs
- Support business and insight development activities – tracking billing, cultivation levels, coordination of RFPS, proposals, author case studies, etc.
- Partner with benchmark leads, consultants, and clients to support other business needs as required
Desirable Skills and Experience
- 3 years’ experience as BI/Data Analyst or Business Analyst/Consultant
- Competent in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Competent use of Powerquery, Pivot tables, Macros, VBA, and CSV files an advantage
- Basic skills in data visualization
- Basic consulting skills and the ability to apply analytical thinking and process mapping
- Basic understanding and application of analytical tools and processes: PowerBI, QlikView, and Tableau would be preferable
- 1+ year experience in the life sciences domain
- 1+ year experience in a Safety/Regulatory environment
- Agility, flexibility, and attention to detail
- Proactive, independent thinker, good problem-solving skills, and results-oriented
- Self-starter, EI, resilience, and concise communication
- Ability to construct workflow charts and diagrams, writing specifications
- Writes case studies
- Confidence in presenting and client relationships
- Ability to manage day-to-day client contact at a workstream team level
- Basic project management skills
- Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions
